Growing up, we struggled to find work that represented us and our experiences, so we asked fellow mixed-race people what books by or about mixed race people they’ve read and enjoyed, then compiled a list of these books!
Thanks to our community, Middleground Magazine introduces its ‘Mixed Race Reading List’. This list of mixed-race books includes fiction, non-fiction and poetry books by mixed-race writers. On there, you'll find familiar names like Afua Hirsch, Celeste Ng and Trevor Noah, as well as maybe some lesser known ones.
We hope you find work you like on that list. If there are any books we haven't included that you have read and loved, let us know and we'll add them on.
