About Middleground
Where all stories meet.
Our ethos
Middleground is a free online magazine focused on publishing the stories and experiences of mixed-race writers and artists. It was born from a desire to achieve better understanding of mixed identities and offer a community to those who identify as part of this group.

Our mission
Middleground strives to:

-
Provide a platform for mixed-race creatives of colour to explore their identities and share their stories
-
Offer a community for mixed-race people to interact with others with similar backgrounds and their stories
-
Establish a database of stories, experiences and voices to help future generations of mixed-race children and their relatives understand themselves and their identities better.

The magazine
We publish two issues a year, one in the Summer and one in Winter, and our magazine is always free to read online. We always pay our contributors because their work is important, valuable, and precious, and supporting our community is at the core of everything we do.

Funding
At the moment, we benefit from no funding and rely solely on donations to keep going. If you are interested in supporting this project, helping with its longevity and giving mixed race creatives a platform that can keep on showcasing their voices, please do consider donating to our GoFundMe:
